Save sources
Highlight text on any page and capture it with one click. The bookmarklet below needs no installation and even works on Chromebooks and locked-down computers.
Bookmarklet (no install needed)
Show the bookmarks bar (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + B), then drag the button below up there:
↦ Save to CitApp- Drag the button above to your bookmarks bar.
- Go to an article and highlight the text you want to save.
- Click Save to CitApp in your bookmarks bar.
- The source appears in your Inbox, drag it to the right category.
Note: you must be logged in to CitApp. A few sites (e.g. GitHub) block bookmarklets for security, in that case paste the link into the project manually instead.
Already writing in Google Docs?
Install the add-on so you never paste citations by hand — insert them at your cursor from the sidebar, and the reference list rebuilds itself.
