Save sources

Highlight text on any page and capture it with one click. The bookmarklet below needs no installation and even works on Chromebooks and locked-down computers.

Bookmarklet (recommended)

Show the bookmarks bar (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + B), then drag the button below up there:

↦ Save to CitApp
  1. Drag the button above to your bookmarks bar.
  2. Go to an article and highlight the text you want to save.
  3. Click Save to CitApp in your bookmarks bar.
  4. The source appears in your Inbox, drag it to the right category.

Note: you must be logged in to CitApp. A few sites (e.g. GitHub) block bookmarklets for security, in that case paste the link into the project manually instead.

Browser extension

Prefer the right-click menu? The extension does the same thing but requires that you can install extensions. The bookmarklet above is the fallback when you can't.
