Is EasyBib free?

The citation generator has a free tier, but per their own pricing it is limited mainly to MLA. APA, Chicago and the rest of the style library require EasyBib Plus at $9.95/mo.

Does EasyBib work inside Google Docs?

Not as an add-on, as far as we can find. EasyBib Bibliography Creator used to be a Workspace Marketplace add-on with its own sidebar, but its listing has returned an error since at least 2024 (Internet Archive), and a Marketplace search for EasyBib finds nothing (checked 2026-10-06). The EasyBib website can export a list to Google Drive or Microsoft Word.

What is the actual difference then?

Mainly what's free. CitApp's 150 styles and reference list are free with no weekly cap; EasyBib's free tier is narrower, and Academic Shield (checking a citation actually supports your claim) is not something EasyBib's plagiarism checker does.
