Why we built it

What it does
CitApp automatically fetches metadata from a URL or DOI and generates a correct citation in any of 150+ styles, including APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, Vancouver and IEEE. Sources are organised into projects and categories so that, when you are finished, generating a complete reference list takes one click.
Free for students
Saving sources in the app is free and unlimited, in every citation style, with no ads, and so is the full reference list. Pro lifts the weekly limits on the browser extension and the Google Docs add-on, and adds AI source summaries and the page archive. See the pricing page for details.
