Move your sources to CitApp
Coming from Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, EasyBib or MyBib? Bring your sources across in a couple of minutes: import a file, or paste your reference list.
From Zotero, Mendeley or EndNote
- In your current tool, export the library or collection as BibTeX (.bib) or RIS (.ris). In Zotero this is File, then Export Library; Mendeley and EndNote have an Export option with the same formats.
- In CitApp, open a project, press the ⋮ menu and choose Import, then pick the file.
- Your sources land in the project with their authors, titles, years, journals, volumes and pages. If a few could not be saved, CitApp says how many.
From EasyBib, MyBib, Scribbr or a Word document
- Copy your finished reference list, the way it appears in your document.
- In CitApp, open a project and paste the whole list into the Link, DOI or ISBN box.
- Each line is looked up by its link, DOI or ISBN. Lines without one can be found by title in CrossRef and the Libris catalogue, and CitApp asks you before adding each match.
After the move
Switch the whole list to another style in one click, check it for missing details and duplicates before you hand it in, and cite as you write in Google Docs. Everything above is free, and so is every export if you ever want to leave again.
